Reporting feedback ist ein Guides in der Rankion.ai-Knowledge-Base: Report a bug or an idea straight from the app: where the button sits, how to attach screenshots and what happens to your report afterwards.

When something strikes you as wrong, you don't have to write an email. Inside the logged-in area there is a button at the bottom right that opens a form on top of the page you are on. You stay where you are. That is the point: report what you are looking at, without having to find your way back to it.
A handful of labels in the screenshot area are still German, because their translations have not been written yet. Where that is the case, this page quotes the German wording you will actually see, with the English meaning next to it.
Bottom right, a speech-bubble icon labelled Feedback. On narrow screens the label disappears and only the icon remains.
Two things that might otherwise confuse you:
The button only appears when you are signed in. It does not exist on the public website or on the sign-in pages.
It deliberately sits on a low layer. If a page puts something else in that same corner, such as the „Cmd+S Save" hint in the article editor or the input bar in chat, the other element wins. A feedback button is never more important than the thing you are working with.
What you fill in
Category (optional) is exactly that. The choices are Not specified, Bug, Suggestion and Other. The category helps us sort, it decides nothing.
Message is required and takes between 10 and 5,000 characters. What helps: what you did, what you expected, and what happened instead. For a bug, the approximate time is useful too, because it lets us match your report against the server logs.
Attaching screenshots
Up to three images per report, each at most 5 MB. PNG, JPG and WebP are accepted. What gets checked is the file content, not the extension, so a renamed PDF is rejected even when it is called .png.
Three ways to get an image in:
- Pick a file. Click Bilder auswählen (select images) and choose the file in the dialog.
- Drag and drop. Drag the file onto the dashed area. The border changes colour once you are over it.
- Paste. Take a screenshot and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac) while the form is open. The image goes straight from the clipboard into the form, no file needed.
On a phone there is neither dragging nor pasting, so the file dialog is the way.
Every attached image shows up as a small preview right away. The × in the corner of a preview removes an image again, as long as you have not submitted yet.
After you submit
The form shows a short confirmation and closes itself after roughly two seconds. If you want to move on sooner, click Close. The page underneath stays exactly as it was, nothing reloads.
You also get a confirmation email at your account address.
Following up on your report
My feedback lists everything you have reported. You reach it from the account menu at the top right, or straight from the My feedback button in the confirmation.
Every report carries one of three states:
| State |
Meaning |
| Open |
received, not looked at yet |
| In progress |
we are working on it |
| Done |
closed |
If an administrator confirms your report as a genuine bug, your team is credited 50 credits once, and the report is marked Confirmed as bug · +50 credits. The credit never happens automatically on submission, only after that review. Reporting the same thing repeatedly accordingly achieves nothing.
What happens to your images
The screenshots are not stored in the public part of the server. Only you and our administrators can retrieve them, every other request is refused.
On upload each image is re-encoded on the server. That removes embedded metadata such as EXIF or GPS data that a camera or a phone would otherwise write into the file.
If you delete a report or your account, the image files go with it, not just the database row.
The same is stated in the privacy policy under the data we store.
When something does not work
These three messages are still German. What they mean:
„Mehr als 3 Bilder gehen nicht." No more than three images. There are already three previews in the form, so remove one with the ×.
„Nur Bilder im Format PNG, JPG oder WebP sind erlaubt." Only PNG, JPG or WebP. The file is not an image in one of those three formats. An iPhone HEIC counts here: export it as JPG first.
„Jedes Bild darf höchstens 5 MB groß sein." 5 MB per image at most. Shrink the image, or screenshot just the affected area instead of the whole screen.
Very large images are rejected even when the file itself is small: above 25 megapixels we do not accept them.
If the button has disappeared entirely, first check whether you are still signed in.
